About Continuing Education (CE)
Each issue of the Journal for Nurse Practitioners includes one article with a continuing education activity accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This educational activity is provided by Elsevier. Elsevier is accredited with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Elsevier is provider approved by the Florida Board of Nursing. The Florida provider number is #50-4681. Elsevier is provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing. The California provider number is #CEP17208.

The authors and the CE providers work together to develop questions and evaluations for each CE activity.

Each CE exercise consists of a single exam with short questions followed by a brief post-test evaluation. To start an exercise, select an exercise below. We recommend that you read the program description before taking a test. You may complete the exercise in one sitting or you may save your work in progress and complete it at a later date. You may create a free personal account to return to your work in progress and track your progress through the program.

RECEIVING CE CREDIT

After reading the article, complete the multiple choice examination and evaluation online. A score of 70% must be achieved to pass the exam. The exam may be taken more than once. A certificate with the credit awarded may be printed from the online website. Each CE activity is $5.

All content in JNP is free access to subscribers and qualified recipients.

If purchasing the individual certificate, please purchase one-at-a-time to ensure proper records are established for your participation per exam.

Successful applicants will receive a certificate of completion with the date the test was purchased.

Overall objective

Continuing education learning activities are designed to augment the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of nurses and therefore enrich the nurses’ contributions to quality health care.
