Minute Clinics: Are They a Solution for the Current Times?

    • Alice Running received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Minot State College in Minot, ND. She graduated from the University of Portland master of science program as an educator and nurse practitioner. She completed her PhD from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center School of Nursing in 1992 and is an associate professor and coordinator of graduate programs at the Orvis School of Nursing at the University of Nevada in Reno. She has maintained a faculty practice as an adult nurse practitioner/family nurse practitioner since graduating in 1985.

      Affiliations

    • Kate Sheppard received her bachelor's degree in nursing from California State University at San Jose and her family nurse practitioner certificate from Stanford University's primary care program in 1980. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno's master of science program as an educator and clinical nurse specialist. She is a doctoral student at the University of Arizona College of Nursing and an assistant professor of nursing at the University of Nevada in Reno. She has maintained a faculty practice as an FNP since graduating in 1980.
